Frequently Asked Questions

What Is The Reforestation Forum?

The Reforestation Forum is a resource for the forestry community. It is a place for those in the industry — including private landowners, forestry consultants, tree planters, academics, researchers, civil servants, and others — to share information, experiences, thoughts, and ideas for mutual benefit.

How Much Does It Cost?

Membership and participation in the Reforestation Forum is free of charge.

Who’s Behind It?

ArborGen ( created the Reforestation Forum in 2020 for two reasons. First: to provide a resource for everyone involved in forestry to converse with each other on a wide scale. Second: as an innovative way to stay in tune with customers (and others) about their current situation and needs, to provide the most valuable products and useful services.

Why Do I Have To Complete A Questionnaire To Join?

The brief qualifying survey captures basic information (forestry role, age, acreage size, geography, etc.) so we can provide you the most relevant content on the forum. Your answers become part of your profile, so you don’t have to answer those questions over and over again in any surveys and polls that are posted in the forum. Also the qualifier helps ensure members are sincere and legitimate.

How Is My Privacy Protected? Do You Share My Information?

All members create a profile which includes: your name, email address, phone number (if you want text alerts), and a public user name you choose. Within the forum, anything you post will be attributed to your user name. Your real name, email, and phone number are only visible to you, in your personal dashboard. Your information will not be sold or shared with any other parties. *Please note, if you do not create a user name, the system will use your first and last name instead when you post something in the forum.
